Art and prayer
These sessions combine contemplative prayer forms including lectio divina and imaginative prayer with creative expression.
This is an hour-long monthly zoom session of guided prayer using different methods of prayer such as lectio divina and imaginative prayer. There is also an invitation ro be creative (draw something or move or make a collage).
Participants will be invited into prayer and spend about 30 min in silent prayer and art making (option to turn off video camera) and then there is optional sharing in groups to gain from each other’s experience.
You can join for one or more evenings.
You do not need to be arty or creative – just courageous to express what is happening for you – trust that stick figures, colours and doodles can make explicit when words are inadequate.
Online, monthly on the second Monday of month at 19:00 (AEDT)
Dates: 12 January, 9 February, 13 April, 11 May and 8 June 2026
Note there is no meeting in March and the June meeting is on a public holiday for NSW.
